everything short of serene. Of course, nobody knows what's happening until they find themselves wedged between a rock and a hard spot. But who wins in this
never-ending nightmare that slashes our dreams despairingly apart?

suppose you need a picture for your character, or feel you could use a bit of help with your roleplaying skills. maybe you have a suggestion or a question. all of your needs will be satisfied here!
this land is where most horses choose to gather, mingling on the plains surrounding a popular outcrop of forestry, from which the small rivulet, leiviro, bubbles out from. the primary reason is to meet new equines, and usually mares end up returning home with a stallion if they have not already been taken.
so you want to fight for land or breeding rights, or maybe you have a score to settle with another. here, horses stand atop the small hill of rock and announce their challenge. or, you may declare a riddle- stallions may steal mares from other competitors by posting a riddle hiding things about the desired one. no riddles for land, however. the challenged character has six days to accept the challenge and agree on the terms of the fight or to figure out the riddle and block two of his mares.
begin the fight here after you have challenged and accepted the terms in the "i want it all!" board. only unforgiving rocks carpet these lands, and there are many cliffs from which to simply fall off of into the suddenly raging river leiviro. staff will judge the injuries and winner of the fight.
in these lands, a couple may breed and birth offspring. there is a non-graphic breeding board for doing so. after your foal has been carried until the next season when breeding is clear to go, you may birth it wherever you please. staff will decide the horse's color, gender, injuries (if any), the possibility of twins, or even if it lives or dies.
if your equine has become old and it is his or her time, or maybe has suffered a fatal injury, or maybe you just do not want to play it any longer, you can make a post here. staff will finalize the post, and the application of the deceased character will be moved here.
lush grassy plains and bright blooming forests characterize the summer home of the luce equines: composed, sensible, noble, and just. they are the race that almost always prefer to talk through conflict instead of spill blood, although not one horse is less stong than one of another alliance. in winter, blankets of beautiful white snow create a wonderland of beauty. river leiviro roils around, turning and bubbling merrily through all seasons.
rogues are the very center of the alliances, sometimes being spontaneously light and clearheaded yet other times sulking. and yet other rogues are more neutral and do not lean either way. much of their land is fertile, but the terrain differs. leiviro is shallow from coming through the luces' home, but at the border it crashes into a waterfall, reflecting the rogues' inner turmoil.
the scores' land is not lush, per se, but when claiming it they were sure it was large enough. certainly, scores vary from very foreboding, to snide, to downright atrocious, always reflecting a negative side as does their dark land. the waters of leiviro become murky as they dissipate into a swamp which empties into the ocean. all alliances have some access to the sea, but the scores have the most by far.
the rancor's land is almost as unforgiving as the rancors themselves. rancor are alike to the score, however, they are almost impossibly complex, secretive, and plotting. the rancor have their own plans that are kept within their clique. the rancor land remains solitary from the rest of avellion, many miles away from the main lands and other alliances. perfect, considering their rumors are those that should not be easily spread.
out-of-character chat is the place to go to show off a picture, talk about your pet, or share a funny experience. anything goes... anything but chatspeak. nobody wants to read what you type when you write lyke dees al da tyme!

oh, don't we all love a little friendly competition? yeah, right. staff will post competitions and games here for you to go crazy about. there's deadlines, rules, prizes, and everything else you make of it. there are also sub-boards for making your own little competitions and forum games- like tennis! learn what that is and more inside.
everything here is about thank-yous and congratulations- and apologies. please, only post it if it's meaningful. "thank you for the picture" threads, et cetera, don't belong here. but yes, happy birthday threads are acceptable.
every single thread that has ever been written on avellion goes here. so you can always look back on everything you've written and done. the archives are divided into four categories: announcements, out of character, in character, and staff discussions (which only staff can see).
